About Us

Who we are

Team Walters Racing: Is a passion project started by husband and wife team, Kenneth and Alexandra Walters.

We’re passionate about racing, and love to share our passion with others.

While Kenneth is primarily the driver and mechanic on the team, Alex is the number one snack and refreshment provider and EMT for Team Walters Racing.

What do we drive?

Team Walters Racing currently comprises of three vehicles

2015 Chevrolet Equinox “Eddie”
Alex’s vehicle and transport to non-race events and venues, we use this for most of our daily activities when not at the track.

2001 Subaru Forester S “Subarubaru”
Team Walters Racing’s official tow vehicle and transport. Kenneth drives this as his daily, but when it’s time to hit the track, Subarubaru facilitates the towing need to get to the track and back home.

1987 Honda CRX “MiniRex”
The primary race vehicle for Team Walters Racing! Passion project started by Kenneth, and what we use at the track!

Why do we race?

We race because we want to! Well in reality, Kenneth is the one who does most of the racing while Alex does the spectating and snack bringing.

The sounds of high horsepower engines, and skidding tires is one of the best sounds ever and Kenneth wanted to be part of that! Kenneth has been passionate about racing since he was a little kid watching Nascar, playing racing games, or working on the car. If it involved something racing or automotive, he was fully involved and wanted to learn everything there is to know about it!

Kenneth's first racing experience came in the form of drag racing at Firebird Motorsports park (then called Firebird raceway) with his 1999 Inifiniti G20. After his first pull down the track he was absolutely hooked and wanted to keep at it more and more.

After some set backs involving the G20 being totaled, and life taking priority over racing, Kenneth had to set his passion aside and focus on his career and marriage. Firebird also faced many financial issues and threatening decision that the land would be sold off to the Wild Horse Pass casino and the Arizona state in order to make room for freeway expansions and hotels. But with the announcement that Firebird came under new ownership with new financial backing and renamed as Firebird Motorsports park, Kenneth's passion for racing was reignited once again! Taking his wife Alexandra to the track in his 1987 Honda CRX, Alex saw the excitement and thrill first hand, at that point Team Walters Racing was formed!
